THINGS WE LOVE TO DO
Baking
We enjoy involving the children in baking. They love to learn how to measure out ingredients, mix and roll out the dough and cut out shapes not to mention the eating!
Trips to the farm
We loved our trip to the local farm where we met all kinds of animals. The children really enjoyed being able to give the animals a brush.
Hale Carnival
We love being part of Hale's local yearly carnival and the children love it too.
Walking on the wild side!
We love to make use of the beautiful park right on our doorstep and we regularly go for adventures!
Making Playdoh
We don't just love to play with playdoh, we make it too... From scratch! It's a great way to get the children involved and they get to colour it and learn how it's made.
Visit's from people who help us
We were lucky enough to have some firefighters come visit Greenways and show the children what they do and their fire engine! This is part of our visit's from people who help us.
Music
We have a wide selection of percussion instruments and we have music as a structured activity. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have a musically-talented parent who will come in for a morning to make music with the children!
Playground
We are so lucky to have a wonderful playground right next to us. The children always have such a wonderful time filled with lots of giggles! We like to practice our climbing skills, balancing and each helping each other on the roundabout and swings.
Reading
Greenways has a large selection of books in our library - children are encouraged to look at books during the session, sometimes will have quiet time listening to a favourite story in a small group, and may also borrow books to take home.
Bug Hunting
We love to use our magnifying glasses on our many trips to Farnham Park to see lots of different types of bugs. We also have binoculars that the chiildren love to use to see the views and wildlife.
Greenway’s Bear
Greenway’s Bear loves children to take him on holidays, overnight stays or to special events and parties - just ask if he’s free and bring in some photos! However at the moment, he is currently in hibernation due to Covid-19.
Making older friends
We took a trip to our local elderly care home to meet the residents and play together. Some of the mum's came too!
